On this site there is a thing that says "Find money for college." That is the best place to go. Also go to your guidence consolur (Sorry can't spell) & ask them about any soclarships there are that you can apply to.
Hope this helps!

As RoadKill said your guidance department would have scholarships available. Also check fastweb.com scholarships.com & doa google search of scholarships. There are tons of scholarships online. Many of them only require you to ce a state resident even how tall you are lol. You should be able to find a LOT of scholarships.

definitely check out fastweb.com. i've pretty much been on every scholarship site out there and i've found that one to be the best and easiest to use. and like Roadkill said, check with your guidance counselor. i know mine is always handing out applications and announcing them. don't worry about not having any "quirks" (although i'm sure you do). most scholarships are essays. and even if you aren't a very good writer, you can get help from an english teacher or something. AND even if you don't think you can get it, apply anyway! you never know until you try.

good luck amanda! :)

javascript:void%20(opener.showcolor('%239900FF'));%20closingWin();javascript:void(AddText('[8D]'))Try collegeboard.com, or cksf.com, cksf has all kinds of schorarship competions and you don't have to be a genius to win, it's just stuuf from books, TV, movies, sime political stuff.

I think the best place to get scholarship info is your HS counselor, but I love using Fastweb. Through fast web i found the KFC scholarship and found out a couple weeks ago that I was accepted as a KFC scholar for 2007 and will be getting up to $5,000 a year for 4 years.

I'm super lucky, because I'm a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist (and, hopefully, a finalist). But, since I'm planning to go to OU (University of Oklahoma), their scholarship for me still leaves me paying about $5,000-$6,000 a year for room/board[:'(]. And, as another average white girl who never managed to get into the extracurricular scene, I'm having a hell of a time trying to find enough scholarships. But, I have to say, Fastweb is the best site I've visited so far. [:D]

Look at state-based aid. Since I live in NY, I'm possibly qualified for TAP although I'm not positive considering I haven't been able to fill out the FAFSA yet.

I'm from NY too, I relocated to GA a year and a half ago. They do not know anything about the Tap grant outside of NY, what a priviledge. They only offer a pell grant down here. They have other state based grants, but they only apply under certain considerations. Unlike the Tap and Pell grant which can be applied to all colleges state wide.

fastweb.com
File a FASFA (and CSS profile, I think they require one)
Your HS/Local Scolarships
Organizations/places of work for you and/or your parent(s)

This website (http://www.utsa.edu/scholarships/searchsch.cfm) has a list of databases for scholarships and also business scholarships. Its a great resource to find a variety of scholarhips.
